Its position is always easily accessible,
Its place is right beside my bed.
Its precious contents have been strewn across my floor more than once,
Its purpose was to provide and keep my pillow dry.
Its depleted supply has caused it to become cast aside and filled with trash,
Its descendants will keep the legacy of cleaning up life’s messes going strong.
Its dainty white sheets have dabbed the faces of millions,
Its distinguishable shape will forever be the comforter of people in need.
From the hardships of love and the assault from parents, to sleepless nights and painful injuries,
A box of tissues will always be there to mend, rejuvenate, or celebrate life’s numerous situations.
