Empty
I hear the clock strike three
My eyes are closed but I still see
See your face looking back at me
Your lips moving constantly
The words say there is nothing left
As you gently pull your hand away
You try to smile but there are only tears
Oh, how I want to forget that day
We once talked about forever
Now I realize there will never
Never be another night
Of us laying till the morning light
The pain is far too deep
So strong I cannot weep
Your green eyes simply staring
God, please let me fall asleep
The sound of a closing door
Leaves me without a heart
I crawl out of bed restless
Nothing left to live for
