Shadow of Your Smile
A time before we met
There was such thing as stereotype.
Then I found what I was looking for
In an unexpected place.
Now a day apart leaves
Us questioning. Because you and I
Click. And a gap I did not even
Know that I had is now filled.
These days, that stance, that laugh
Your eyes, are the things my eyes search for.
I did not look for this in the hope
That you would see it in me.
Merely fell for your smile.
I love. Not to be loved in return.
But I must ask
Are we going anywhere?
