Endless

So pointless a death,
Generations weep,
Holding out their ghostly arms,
To embrace the poor soul that so painfully joins their ranks,
Soon more will come as he,
Following in his footsteps,
To avenge their dead brother,
To bring about justice.

He stares with shame into the face of is brother’s murderer,
An apology on his lips,
And the man’s blood on his hands,
But instead he looks towards the battle,
And waits to embrace another.
