Rain
Tap, tap, tap
The ever growing, overpowering sound interrupts
My off track train of thought
The gloomy, eerie darkness starts to
Invade my 4 walled paradise of light and warmth
It took me back to a day I refuse to forget,
A day when my salty, newly shed tears combined
With rain to become one liquid of
Fear, dread, and relief
My grandpa lie in a light blue prison
He was now unable to do everything,
That is on earth at least,
He was a man that deserved rain to
Mark this event, this
Heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, mind-blowing event
He was gone, and as I looked out the window,
The rain had gone with him
