A Moment
For just a moment,
I’m somewhere else,
I’m part of the wind,
That swirls all around,
Up in the sky,
And down on the ground.
I ruffle the feathers,
Of the birds that flit by,
And twist in your hair,
And go back to the sky,
And down I come again,
To pluck at the grass,
To play in the trees,
And then at last.
The moment is over,
I’m back in my chair,
It’s time to go in,
So I send up a prayer,
For just a moment,
Take me back.
