Radioactive semi-adhesive dots
You remember those glow-in-the-dark stars
On the ceiling when you were little
Because you wanted the outside in
And the nature not so dirty
You wanted to sleep under the stars
That you couldn’t see on cloudy nights
You wanted to sleep out in the yard
But you were too scared of the dark
But years have gone by
And you’ve forgotten how things were.
You look out the window and see
The stars from your ceiling reflected on your window.
You see there are no more stars in the sky,
But only the radioactive semi-adhesive dots
Adhered to your ceiling from when you were little
