I’ve a world in my pocket
My universe next door
With a mountain of gum
And a yo-yo sun
And clover petals four

I’ve a world in my pocket
Of paperclips and string
Of Tootsie Rolls
And plastic Trolls
And a little flute that sings

I’ve a world in my pocket
Of metal, dirt, and plastic
Of matchbox cars
And Starburst stars
And five bands of elastic

I’ve a world in my pocket
My universe next door
With a mountain of gum
And a yo-yo sun
With my fingertips, I explore

My teacher asked us to write a poem using the word "pocket."
