Lying awake at night the outside sounds of my mind are set free.
Like outside my window creatures of the night, prowl around with a crunch of each padded paw.
Inside the house across the hall an obnoxious snore roars through my wall.
Soft chatter forms the upstairs T.V. keep my eyes open wide.
It’s hard to sleep in a place of chatter,
My eyes finally close until a squeak for a floor board reaches my eyes piercing loudly like electric
Finally, silence!
