The Yellow The Blue and The Green
The yellow, the blue, and the green
The boney roots
Their grip so tight
The long limb
That shadows over the calm waves
The green sprigs
That show the only sign of life still left
This is the tree that hangs over the lake
The lake that stretches its beauty for miles
The depths make the color impossible to describe
The free waves dance back and forth
The sand scattered by the movement
The designs printed in the sand by the creatures that lurk below
The leaves that float as if tiny boats
The lone duck that quacks to the sound of the clouds moving above
The clouds break to show the bright sun
The sun makes the lake shimmer
The sun gives the trees youth
The yellow, the blue, and the green
