Morning

Two birds soar in the sky
Alighting on a branch
They sing a tune,
Oh so merry
To ones ears.
The ears ringing from the buzzing
Of the alarm
Struggles to get up.
Honey eyes
Molasses coating
Under water, breathing air
A struggle.
The eyes close,
The arms relax
Leaving the dreamer for another day
The dream oh, so beautiful
A garden of angels
Interrupted by an alarm
From the small black box
On the dresser
The birds sing the last note
And fly on
Leaving the branch for
A wide open sky.

I set my alarm at 6:20 and every morning I get up, turn it off and go back to sleep. I wrote this poem with that in mind. Perhaps you have had similar experiences?
