What if?
Sometimes I wonder.
About many different things.
Like what it would be like;
If parents didn’t nag you
If looks didn’t matter
If people didn’t judge, and
we didn’t use computers.
If texting didn’t tempt teenagers
If homework was enjoyable
If friends rarely fought, and
no one cared about others opinions.
If there wasn’t death
If there wasn’t hurt
If there wasn’t hate, and
there wasn’t pain.
But instead of all this--
People judge
Friends fight
Parents nag, and
homework sucks.
Death is inevitable
Everyone hates
Hurt is everywhere, and
pain surrounds us.
Is this what the world has come down to?
