The Garden of My Mind
This is the garden of my mind
The place you’ll never truly know
For no eyes may pierce the vines
Past the walls, you may not go
Doors, you will find none
Such things have yet to be
Until an entrance has been spun
Here, there is only me
I wander through the garden
Like the mist upon the ground
As the flowers petals darken
Color nowhere to be found
The sun has yet to shine
Day remains but a stranger
Though a friend to me is the night
Familiar stars, and shadow painters
At the garden’s center, a fountain
This is the most I dare to tell
It’s waters that I have founded
By tears, the dream’s farewell
This is the garden of my mind
The place you’ll never truly know
For no eyes may pierce the vines
Past the walls, you may not go
