I walk into the class room
And find my seat
After you asking if you
Can go to the track meet.

I tell you no
You have lost the ability
For me to trust you with
A simple responsibility.

I find you talking behind my back
With my other so called friend.
Too bad I think
We’re coming to an end.

You send me a glare
And a mean face.
But you have no idea
What it’s like to be in my place.

You say I left you
For someone else.
The truth is you want me
All to yourself.

That night you call me
With one simple question.
You need help
With a math equation.

You want the answers
But I won’t be used.
I will help you
And give you simple clues.

I believe we’re growing apart
And going our separate ways.
We get farther and farther apart
Every single day.

Days have passed
And I think you’ve forgotten me.
But I still have
All of our memories.
