The Right Thing To Do
I want my mouth to speak the truth
Yet what is the truth?
What if I don’t agree with the truth?
What if the truth doesn’t agree with my beliefs?
I want my feet to walk the right path
Yet what is the right path?
What if the path wasn’t made for me?
What if I’m suppose to take a different path?
I want my arms to touch others lovingly
I want my lips to form words of kindness
I want my hands to work for others
I want my intelligence to find a cure
What is the right thing?
Is it the same for everyone?
Yet everyone is their own person.
Meditating over this requires time.
Something there’s not enough of
Just do…the right thing.
