Don't Go Away
I feel warmth undulating
Throughout my body
As I am draped with soft fur.
I am drifting through the sky
With the sun on a crisp summer morning
Melting my frosty skin.
Park benches diving into clouds
Pantries playing hide-and-seek
Chimps in conflict, armed with lawn mowers
Peculiar voices inundate my mind,
Various different sounds,
So many that it seems like
An endless buzz,
A never-ending note,
Interfering with my thoughts,
I can’t think straight,
It just keeps on buzzing, and buzzing,
Why won’t it go away? -
Wake up, you’re late for school.
