Winter Ice

Glistening,
Like you’ve never seen;
Sparkling,
Like you wouldn’t believe;
Shimmering,
In the soft, winter sun;
Dangling,
From the roof-top edge;
Falling,
To the snowy ground below;
Crashing,
Crumbling,
Shattering,
Like glass;
The icicle breaks into shards of ice;
The beauty of winter vanished,
But many more will remain,
For winter is a time of magic,
The joy shall retain!
