This blanket o' mine
has gone through
thicks and thins
ups and downs
all arounds
yet here it stays with me.
This blanket o' mine
and I
share a bond
that no thread
or patch
except love can hold together.
This blanket o' mine
is running low
on health
on warmth
on existence
yet this small leftover of life
still holds my heart.
