Dandelion

With eyes fill with hope,
and minds filled with dreams,
we go our separate ways.
Not sure where the changing winds might take us,
not really wanting to know,
like the last dandelion of spring,
the one the wind caries on its breath.
And you may ask what is in our hearts,
and you may ask what is in our hands.
We will simply reply:
In our hearts we hold the memories,
the precious moments of past.
In our hands we hold our future,
for the future must be obtained,
before the heart can endure eternity.
So not I look around me
at friends who have grown,
into amazing women
who will do amazing things.
So prepare yourself for the journey,
don’t hold on too tight to the past.
Just close your eyes; hold your breath,
and wait for the breeze to come.
Wait for the breeze that will guide you
gently to your dreams
