The Promise of Forever
I feel the curve of the earth crumbling in my palms
It is worn and beaten down,
 Exhausted
I taste the promise of forever
 It is bittersweet and beautiful,
Like a bite of bruised apple
 And the sky
So smooth and creamy, cold like ice cream
 Poisoned blue
I feel the darkness creep through the earth’s veins,
Feel forever punch the breath out of my lungs
 I am nothing
 And everything
I am a child of dark and beautiful dreams.
