Spread your wings, free one.
Don't come down to earth for the rain.
A tree in the dirt;
Stay grounded, proud one.
Don't loosen your roots for the soil.
The sun in our eyes;
Stay strong, bright one.
Don't dim yourself for the clouds.
A poem on the page;
Just be, immortal one.
Let them understand what they may.
