Physicality over personality.

Popularity over common humanity.

Quantity over quality.

Sorry, this just isn’t the life for me.

And society think differently

But I’m trying to be open-minded.

It’s so hard when everyone else is so blinded.

By hypocrites, the hypocrisy ruined democracy.

And this world has become so hard to live in,

Just to exist in, we must continue to play pretend.

I have all this pain;

With images burned into the front of my brain,

I am slain;

Society’s slave, I don’t have a life.

I am a pawn,

So I get played.

Just another name to fill empty pages in a yearbook with

I’m easy prey;

It’s over now, Checkmate.

And now I ask,

Why’s the modern order of importance so plastic?

Was it a screenshot of a convo,

Or the drama of a bad high school scenario?

Is it Christian to hate people who simply love,

Or is it criminal to care about life being fair?

Is material more important than memories?

Are fake friends better in the end,

Or the ones writing handwritten letters?

Time passes, like everything,

But one thing to remain the same is my order of importance,

And the world is to blame.
