I wake my eyes to the early sun
And close them to the midnight star
There are times when that period is incredible
And then others when it’s the reverse
The latter is frequently because of you
Those are the times when I
…abhor the selfish want
…despise the delicious thirst
…detest the inevitable desire
and loathe the eternal yearning
In short, those are the days when
I hate that I love you
