One, Two Three
One, everything started to make sense again,
As I felt the chilling, cold, salty water tease my legs.
I felt the shivers roll down my spine,
And the beads of cold sweat form on my forehead.
The ocean breeze tugged endlessly at my hair,
Causing the strands to twist and turn in the ravenous winds.
Two, second by second, I felt my sanity slip away with the wind,
I felt the numbness of my soul burn into a licking fire,
Adrenaline raced through my veins.
Three, taking one last look at my home,
The place I’ve come to hate these past years,
I sunk myself deeper into the ocean waves.
Encompassed by the tranquility of the sea,
I felt myself slipping away.
One.
Two.
Three.
