The Photo Finish
The end of the race was close,
All the cameras waited for the defining moment.
Coming across the finish line it was neck and neck.
The flash of the cameras blinded me.
And for that split second even I didn't know who won.
Gasping for air and our emotions soaring.
Neither of us cared who had defeated who.
All that mattered to us was that next breath of air and knowing that we had ran our hardest.
