Trail Ride
On a cloudy winter/spring’s day
With the soaken snow all around
And small greenish brownish patches of the autumnal grass.
Across the frozen ground we walk
With the growling wind that feels like stinging wasps
Shaky trees that are swerving by the wind.
Asking my horse for a collected trot
As the sun is starting to peak out of the clouds
Along the clouds drifting by as slow as a dragging turtle.
The gloomy gray clouds start to frizzle out
The sun is giving more rays to Earth
And the ground starting to mellow.
Urging my broad white filly to canter
Across the melting fields of snow
And mud splashing upon our bodies.
The birds are chirping with delight
The squirrels are clicking their teeth on the oak nuts
While the deer and the doe leap over fallen trees.
My filly read my mind and galloped away
Across the field of bulbs and stat-to-bloom flowers
That tell you that spring is here.
Hours pass and minutes fly
The bulbs became a blend of colours
With all the hearts that are warmed together.
