Careless Killing
You’re killing me
carelessly with words.
Words which you cannot
comprehend.
You could care less that
you’re slowly suffocating
me with words,
your actions, and
your body language.
I glimpse over my shoulder,
I spot you, and you shatter me.
I see you with someone,
someone else that isn’t me.
I can feel the fury burning
through my veins, and
radiating into every single
cell in my body.
You catch a glance at me,
you’re grinning, ear to ear
you wave to me.
I return the generous gesture
out of common courtesy.
Now I’m grinding my teeth
in complete frustration with you.
I don’t want to want you,
I wish I didn’t to even like you.
And I don’t want you to be constantly
killing me carelessly with words
you will never completely comprehend.
