Power
Take it by the hand
Or grab it by the neck
Power tantalizes even the shielded ones.
Dangle it in front of your beady, eager eyes
And you snatch it, eat it up before
Anyone else notices you have it.
It travels through your system
Infiltrates your bloodstream
Your heart pumps it through your veins
And soon you know nothing but power.
You live and breath its ugliness.
You look into the mirror
And you see a king.
I see a fool.
