Every night I have a dream
It's not the taste of ice cream
Or the white rabbit being late,
It's of me and George Strait.

He is flirtingly sitting there
While he sings "The Chair".
His fingers move gracefully on the guitar
His eyes are twinkling like stars.

His cowboy hat sits smartly
His bootleg can be seen partly.
As he sings his song
I wish for it to be long
For I know when the song will end
Soon 'round that unavoidable bend, My dream of George Strait and me will end.

The author's comments:
I'm from a small town in Louisiana that probably nobody knows of. Most people here listen to country music. Country music is all I listen to, I grew up with it. It's gotta be the best music ever. George Strait has always been my favorite artist. He has come along way from singing in the clubs to performing for the army to the Astrodome. I was just listening to his CD one day and I started reading his bio in the cover of the CD. I never realized he had done so much.

Adorable. I wish I had the courage to describe my dreams with such a light weighted passion. I loved it. Not only that but it made me smile. Keep writing.
