Without You
When we are together, I can’t quite find the words
To tell you how I feel.
You’d just laugh, or find it weird, though for me
It’s far too real.
When we mess around together
I feel like I could float.
And when you touch me or your eyes meet mine
My heart jumps to my throat.
But still, I’m just a friend to you
No matter how I pray,
That you’ll realise you’re the one and I’m in love
One day.
I can’t help but wonder if you might
Ever feel the same?
But the way you act with other girls makes me realise
You’re the player; I’m the game.
You’re leaving in a few weeks,
Although it seems surreal.
And never will I get the chance
To tell you how I feel.
