Cluttered mind, many thoughts
Need to escape, need to get lost
Thinking too much, need to leave
Need to escape, need to breathe
I grab my keys; make my way to the door
The adventure a waits away from me that I must endure
Keys in ignition, foot on reverse
I would stay, but things might get worse
Pulling out my driveway, onto the street
Breathe of fresh air, new scenery to meet
Foot on the accelerator, hands on the wheel
Wheels slamming on the rough street, a new type of feel
Driving to nowhere, don’t know where to turn
Half the experience, is the hunger to learn
Mind seems clear, so I head back home
It was nice to get away for a bit, and be alone
