Redhead

I return to the scene
Where I first saw your face,
And it makes me long
For your warm embrace.

Your name I am not privy to.
('twould be a joy to know.)
for I'm madly in love with you,
attracted to you so.

Your red hair's sultry fire
has burned into my brain
a feeling of desire
that I cannot explain.

Cascading down your back
is that which sparks my passion.
Natural scarlet locks
by beauty products, rationed.

While many hide this truth,
you choose to let it be.
Your honesty, uncouth
desires can spark in me.

I long but for your touch
and pine to please you so.
If you'd give me that much,
true ecstasy you'd know.

Had I the bravery
to set about a chat,
this, my desire, would be
oh, so much more than that.

This was written for a bet I had with a friend of mine. The bet was to see who could write a better poem about this cute redheaded girl we saw at 2 in the morning at WalMart.

I think you would win in that bet. I completely loved it. It amazes me you don't have a million comments. Keep writing and not just to win a bet.
