Cry Poison, Love
My lover, here, tonight we weep
with tears as soft as wool of sheep.
Through tainted day and darker night,
we wail, we scream in strange delight.
All our tears are those of sorrow;
bitter rivers flow tomorrow.
My lover, here, tonight we sing,
our hearts a battered, tarnished ring.
Too deep to fix, wounds of the heart:
From joyous days we shall depart.
Our days are gone, lost, dead, and past
and this is where we stand at last.
My lover, here, tonight we weep.
Forever in eternal sleep.
