Time.
indifferent, it inches and oozes
fueled by some sick satisfaction
derived from one powerless human's frustration

Smoke.
ephemeral billows groping at stars
while denser humans choke in their wake
but are more than fine; their pace is now equal to time's

Sleep.
cornea glides unrelenting
left to right and back just as the noon hand to the midnight
it betrays truth in its suggestion of conscious thought
