Bluebird in the Cherry tree,
Looking down at the world from above,
You sing of hope, courage, and love.
Do you sing to me?
Bluebird in the Cherry tree,
You look at me soft as a dove,
As though you know what once was,
What was between my Jacob and me.
Bluebird singing your song,
Did you see him say goodbye?
Did you see him go off to die?
I waited for him so long,
It was long after he had gone
That I came to the Cherry tree to cry.

This is a sonnet I wrote for English class. I love nature and the world around me, and I was looking out side trying to do my assignment and saw a bluebird in my grandfather's cherry tree. The rest of the poem just came to me.
