I try not to obsess
But I find there's just an excess
Of words, that don't fit the lines
Or let them flow in time.
And I find I ramble on and on
And my original topic has gone.
But I see at least I rhyme
Which doesn't happen usually.

So you see what you've done?
My mind's a jumble.
The insanity has just begun.
My heart falls and tumbles.
My rhymes grow progressively worse
As I write each new verse.
But I find I don't really mind
As long as I'm yours, and you're mine.

My poetry is cheesy and lame,
But that's just your effect on me.
I ramble, but my heart's aflame.
Everyone can clearly see
You're just right for me.
When you're on my mind, I've found a deep joy.
I'll just have to wait and see,
But I bet you're not just another boy.
