He feels he is in a morbid environment.
Carving out thoughts that shall be used
As prizing truths by him later on,
He depicts what shall become of him.
Every student stares: there is no other attraction,
But the new kid is hopeful,
Because now he has some of his own criticism.

Sounds like the poem I wrote: TeenInk.com/raw/Poetry/article/79949/Hey-New-Kid. Only mine's super long and it's from my POV. And yes, I totally understand. Love how it's short and sweet. Thanks for your comment on my poem way back in the day.
