A poem about Edgar Sawtelle
Edgar
A Poem Based on The Story of Edgar Sawtelle
Words can’t express how I feel
My mom doesn’t see the things I do
My dogs love me even after their meal
They are all I have got, so I love them too
I hated to see my dad die
He was killed and I am not sure why
This mystery is filled with lies
I wanted to protect my mom
But she came ill and needed a doctor
The doctor kept her calm
I didn’t like him
I tried to kill him
I began to speculate he killed my father
I missed and killed our vet
I had to run away, far away
I stayed wherever, whenever
I ate whatever
I came back to leave a note for my mom
The doctor found out
He came after me
He ended up killing me,
Just like he did my father.
