Force a smile and say hello,
They’ll never know you’re ill.
Small talk, chats and laughter,
Go home and take pill after pill.
Long sleeves and big jackets
When you need to shake a hand,
Will hide all the deepest cuts
That you’ve created as your brand.
A brave face hides a lot of shadows,
When you really don’t want to share.
Go back to your room late at night
And they are still all unaware.
Is this the way you want to go?
Leaving your family to cry?
Talk to someone, share your pain,
Please don’t leave without a goodbye.
