My little black box
I lock up my thoughts deep inside,
All of these memories I’m trying to hide
In a little black box beneath my bed,
To prevent them from trying to enter my head.
As I lie awake, it’s lying beneath me,
Just waiting to be opened so everyone can see.
This little black box beside my bed,
I just can’t let it enter my head.
With the lock on so tight, I’ve thrown out the key,
But yet it’s still there, it’s tormenting me.
This little black box, I can’t seem to throw out,
The memories are so loud, I’m starting to shout.
“PLEASE JUST LEAVE, I DON’T WANT YOU NEAR”
And all of a sudden, everything becomes clear.
This little black box, it’s finally left me,
Bad memories are gone, and my mind is now empty.
