The Monster
My head is pounding like bricks have been thrown at me
I’m running as fast as my will allow
My lungs are burning-I’m trying to breathe
I got to escape this monster now.
Tears are running down my face
I scream for help as loud as I can
But everyone turns their heads- filled with disgrace like they are
Ashamed of who I am
I look around at the city around me
Trying to depict which way to go
My mind says left but my body goes right
Why? no one will ever know
I take one step into the dark ally and that’s when I meet the monster
He doesn’t have a name but I do remember his smile
I asked him is there anyway I can win
There was no reply
The monster got me now
