Glass girl,
If I told you being pretty was what you were made for
You would have laughed and smiled daintily
Before going home
And breaking all the shelves they put you on
Glass girl,
You are transparent now
And have stood in the light so long
We take your colors for granted
Glass girl,
You’re fracturing
You’re splitting and it scares them
As they watch lightning cover you whole
Glass girl,
You’ve broken now
But don’t you feel better
As your shards hit those who worshipped you
And they learn they admire destruction too
