I didn't want to let go,
Let go of what I thought
Was meant to be.
I didn't want to let go,
Let go of what I thought
Was my dream.
I didn't want to let go,
Let go of what I thought
Was my life.
But soon enough
I realized. . .
You let go a long time ago.
I was living in the past
Because I didn't see us in the future.
I was savoring what we had
Because it was soon to be lost.
Now that I have let go,
I can move on.
My life has begun with someone else.
And this time
I won't have to worry about letting go.
