My Cry

April 21, 2009
I've suffered these consequences.
I've taken second chances.
I've held the world and watched it fall.

I had everything, yet nothing.
I held the cards and yet I'm bluffing.
I tasted sin, I had it all.

My ignorance has been so pure.
My selfishness left without a cure.
Blinded dead, I forgot your call.

I've become so faded.
Washed in, washed out.
I've kept my life jaded.
Silence became a shout.

A cry, my cry for help.
Bruised knees is all I've felt.
Oh God, where do I run now?
I fell, I fell somehow.

You took my weakened hands.
Held them up so I could stand.
I'm falling back to you.

You say that I'm forgiven.
When I've got no reason for living.
Your promises stay true.

Now I'm with some hope.
Your love still helps me cope.
Jesus, what else do I do?

"Child, this is just the beginning.
You're forgiven from your sinning.
Remember my words, hold my heart.
Never again will we fall apart."

A cry, my cry for help.
Bruised knees was all I felt.
Oh God, to you I run now.
I found love, your love somehow.
