My Bedtime Story

I say, “ Goodnight.”
To the world.
And to the light.
But comes the dreams of endless delight.
And bears the burden of constant night.
It’s time for morning.
It’s all sunny bright.
But I stay in my bed with all my might.
I stay there till gone is the light.
Till the dreams come back with the night.
And there it is.
My precious glory.
That’s where it ends.
My bedtime story.
