A dove flies by
to inspect the remnants
of a fearful attack
as the mood shifts
a lovely peace emerges
From a puddle in the mud
a reflection in the sun
of that hurricane in the distance
of that anger
that threatened our existence
that others remember
and wish to forget
a new array of colors
spring out from the flood
bubbles begin to rise to the sky
A rainbow emerges
from amongst the rubble
as hearts set to repair
the thunder resides
