As autumn leaves fall
And life is renewed,
I watch you as you crawl
And smile up at you

I watch as you grow
And think of the time
That you had to go
but swore you were mine.

I love you today
And tomorrow too.
And beg you to stay,
My thoughts are for you.

As spring arrives
And life is in bloom,
I watch as you sigh,
And laugh at the moon.

The author's comments:
Poem for my Grandfather, who passed away last monday... I had written it about a month ago, in the hope of helping him get better, to give him hope. He never got to read it, and the day that I went over to read it to him, it was too late. So, I read it at his mass, to help him make peace, to tell him I still love him.
