Waking up
Sun shining in my face
But, sundenly the thoughts hit me
like a rush of words
grasping every memory
waht a long distance
that I have to bare with
nothing matters
Trying to clear the lump in my throat
I find peace with the morning sky
I wipe my eyes hoping my hands
that are sliding across my face
would take the truth of the distance away
and yet I go on with my day
knowing tomrrow, I'll have to do it all over again

My inspiration for this piece came from a very close friend in England, and how distance plays a key part in our relationship.
