Dreaming

I once dreamt a dream.
Where birds soar through the
orange and purple skies.
Caterpillars trade their dry
skin for vibrant wings.
Horses roam the fields of
green grass and the rolling
hills littered with flowers.
The sun glows, gently
warming the faces of
little children.

I once dreamt a dream
Where tigers watched
their prey in darkness.
Crocodiles swam through
swamps and wetlands,
disguising themselves
in thick camouflage.
Waiting for some poor
soul to fall into their trap.
Piranhas blindly eat
and feed off any living
thing in their territory.

I once dreamt a dream.
Where penguins marched
in flocks, cuddling
together for warmth.
Sea lions swim through
the deep blue, exploring
beyond the unknown depths.
Polar bears struggle for survival
trying to hold on to the
melting pieces of ice.
But they were only dreams.
