Gazing out the dark, wide window
Streetlights glowing, light downcast
Lifeless cars, darkly reflected
Familiar view from days gone past

Walking back on concrete sidewalks
Looking down, bright grey I see
Trees cast shadows, looking up
Branches spread alight with leaves

I live now in lands of gray
Barren lawns and twisted trees
But in my dreams I visit still
Swooping among balconies...
